In another mail I was informed about a slightly different but possibly related
problem with PDF bookmarks created/transformed from CWEB source code.
Branch https://github.com/ascherer/cweb/tree/pdf-bookmarks shows the details
to reproduce the steps described in https://github.com/ascherer/cweb/issues/2
Again, I can not work on this problem at this time.
